Biography

I’m currently a student at Indiana University, studying Marketing at Kelley School of Business. I was born and raised in Munster, Indiana. I’m passionate about family, traveling, and I’m a lifelong dog lover, especially when it comes to bulldogs. My long-term goal is to build a career in marketing within the business world, and one day, I hope to give back by volunteering to support animals in shelters.

I worked as an Event Coordinator, assisting with the setup and execution of various events, including the Nickelodeon Slime event, where I had the task of pouring slime on participants. I also attended meetings on behalf of my supervisors, taking detailed notes to ensure all important information was accurately captured and nothing was overlooked.

I participated in a year-long project focused on developing a product from concept to pitch. My team and I designed a prototype for a sand pouch that absorbs moisture from the skin at the beach. We conducted extensive research to identify the most effective materials, worked closely with a mentor throughout the process, and ultimately pitched our product to potential investors. We showcased our prototype at a final presentation, where we received interest and a potential offer.

I completed a competitive two-week recruitment process, interviewing with 22 different chapters to demonstrate my qualifications as a potential new member, while also maintaining the required GPA. After joining my sorority, I became actively involved in philanthropy events supporting a women’s empowerment organization affiliated with Girls on the Run. During these events, I helped manage guest check-in at the front desk, scanning tickets and assisting with event logistics to support our fundraising efforts.

I spent a summer working in a dog care facility, where I was responsible for supervising an average of 30 dogs each day. My role required quickly learning and recognizing each dog by name and understanding their unique personalities and behavioral cautions, especially as the group changed daily. I handled all cleaning duties, provided attentive care, and ensured a safe and positive environment. I also communicated directly with clients, addressed their concerns, and monitored the dogs for signs of illness or aggression, reporting any issues to management for further action.

I completed six months of intensive training and testing to earn my scuba diving certification. The program involved extended underwater sessions, performing safety and technical tasks, and learning hand-sign communication to operate effectively without sound. I passed a comprehensive three-hour exam covering all theoretical and practical knowledge. In open water, I’ve continued to develop my skills by practicing advanced techniques such as air-sharing protocols, navigation in strong currents, and managing low-oxygen situations.

Skills & Interests

Rodale Evaluation

Challenge:  I was tasked with analyzing data to determine whether Rodale should continue selling book weights from other brands or focus solely on their own products. This involved identifying key variables to include in a regression analysis to guide the decision.

Approach:

I began by running frequency tables on all predictor variables to identify near-constant values, which were excluded due to lack of variability. I created dummy variables for categorical predictors with many levels and conducted hypothesis tests to assess their significance before including them in regression models.

Outcome:

Through regression analysis and proper variable selection, we identified the key factors influencing performance and provided data-driven insights on whether Rodale should continue offering third-party products alongside their own.

Netflix Research

Challenge:

Conduct research on Netflix’s performance strategy compared to competing streaming services, using both primary (interviews/surveys) and secondary data.

Approach:

Developed targeted, well-structured survey questions and used an online platform to create the survey, ensuring clarity and functionality. Identified the appropriate target audience and collected responses from 122 participants to gather meaningful insights.

Outcome:

The data revealed consumer preferences and competitive trends, allowing us to provide strategic recommendations to help Netflix maintain its market leadership.

Big Blanket Co.

Challenge:

Researched consumer insights through reviews and interviews to identify a new sleep aid product for Big Blanket Co. that could increase profits and market traction.

Approach:

Conducted interviews to understand sleep-related pain points and benefits sought. Based on the insights, we developed a concept for a chilled, silk, blackout sleep mask with removable white noise and cooling features. I created an AI-generated prototype image to visualize the product for potential consumers and  advertising posts to gain attention for purchasing.

Outcome:

Delivered a targeted product concept along with a staged marketing strategy tailored to the ideal audience, offering Big Blanket Co. a clear path to launching a compelling new sleep aid.
